Senator Susan Lee’s legislative priorities are to provide access to high quality and affordable healthcare for all, fully fund education, keep college affordable, and protect the environment. She also has worked to promote bioscience, nanobiotechnology, Information Technology (IT), and green and emerging technologies.
As a longtime member of the Judicial Proceedings Committee, Senator Lee has sponsored and worked to pass legislation to fight identity theft, online fraud, cyber attacks, domestic violence, sexual assault, child and senior abuse. She authored the landmark Maryland Security Freeze legislation, the nation’s first identity theft pretexting law and the source of the Maryland Commission on Cyber Security Innovation and Excellence.
